Crystal Coast Oceanfront Hotel

This has recently changed hands, and I may have reviewed the previous owners. It was "the Inn at Pine Knoll Shores" or something like that. The Resort? I cannot speak to new ownership. However our stay was a delight, on the whole. After some initial dissatisfaction with claims made as to the availability of the kitchen staff, and indeed the kitchen at all, we had an entirely lovely stay. Mostly due to the location. Location Cannot Be Beat. The rooms all face out into the ocean wind, and all have balconies. It was beyond relaxing. The beach was pleasant and steps away. We were there during the week of Christmas, and it was exceedingly quiet. The whole town felt sleepy and unhurried. We traveled up and down the island and it was a lovely place to be. Again, I can't speak to new ownership, current ammenities, or staff. But the location of the hotel and the town around it are worth the stay.

Normally stay here once or twice a year. Nice hotel with extremely nice staff. Very clean, efficient sized rooms, and oceanfront! This last stay we were disappointed in the fact that they started charging daily rates for parking. Didn't know that upon checking in, which was a surprise fee. Just thought that was odd. But overall great place to stay!

Overall, the hotel was a great value with everything needed for a fun coastal get away. All rooms are oceanfront and the beach sunsets were stunning. The room was cozy, aka small, but we really just slept and enjoyed the balcony while there. Loved the pool, live music and the ambiance with lights, colorful chairs and umbrellas and really nice outdoor furniture. All the staff were friendly and helpful and asked if you were enjoying your stay. We came here after a close friend recommended, and couldn’t have been happier with the overall experience. It is an old building, nostalgic of hotels from my childhood, but updated nicely.

My husband and I stayed here because we were vendors for a chocolate festival in Morehead City. The room was clean but slightly outdated. It probably needs alittle redo to be a 5. The service got a drop because our TV wasn't working. We called for maintenance and they never came. We ended up calling the front desk back to cancel the request. The balcony was amazing! Great views of the beach and we caught a glimpse of the sunset too! The view.is a 10!!!!!

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family—professional, kind, and genuinely caring in a way you don’t forget. They treated us like one of their own and were especially wonderful to my nana, who truly needed this time after losing my Bobo, her husband of 61 years, in September. That alone meant more to us than words can say. The food was amazing, the drinks were—let’s be honest—fantastic, and the rooms were spotless with a perfect beachfront view of the ocean. Easy beach access made everything feel effortless and relaxing. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but it was absolutely worth every penny. This wasn’t just a stay—it was healing, joyful, and exactly what our hearts needed.

Literally on the beach with private access. Every room is an ocean view complete with balcony. Clean rooms (no carpet, hooray!) and everything you need for a perfect beach getaway. Full size mini fridge with microwave so you can reheat leftovers and store drinks. Staff was friendly and service was efficient. Would definitely return when the weather is warmer!

Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially people with pets. Rooms were clean and service was friendly. Really only one complaint that's why I gave a 4 star review. The hot tub jets were not working. We let the front desk know , hopefully the situation will get resolved soon. Otherwise everything was awesome! Food from restaurant was good so a plus if you just wanna stay in & not go anywhere. Love, love love this hotel.

Great hotel. Love the idea that every room has an ocean view. Room was clean at check in. The restaurant/bar was great. We had breakfast and it was really good. Alittle bit out of the way for say, but everything else makes up for it. We went in late December and we got lucky. The weather was amazing and you could hear the waves all night and day. We got a king bed room on the 7th floor. Best view ever. A must stay if a room is avaliable, but make sure its on the 7th floor.
